Paolo Virzi to direct The Leisure Seeker starring Helen Mirren and Donald Sutherland.
Academy Award Winner, Helen Mirren, and two-time Golden Globe Winner, Donald Sutherland, are set to star in the poignant road film, 'The Leisure Seeker,' about a runaway couple going on an unforgettable cross-country journey in their vintage camper. The feature marks Paolo Virzi’s first film entirely shot in English, following several box office and critical successes, including 'The First Beautiful Thing' and 'Human Capital.' Both films were selected as recent Official Academy Award Submissions for Italy.
His latest film, Like Crazy, is premiering at the Directors’ Fortnight.
Fabrizio Donvito, Benedetto Habib, Marco Cohen are producing for Indiana Production, with Alessandro Mascheroni, Daniel Campos Pavoncelli, and Dov Mamann serving as Executive Producers. The film is being produced with Rai Cinema.
David Grumbach and Mathieu Robinet will be co-producing for BAC Films. The three companies renew their partnership after the positive collaboration on Human Capital.

Screenplay was penned by Francesca Archibugi, Francesco Piccolo, Stephen Amidon, and Paolo Virzì, and was inspired by the novel with the same name, by author, Michael Zadoorian.

He will collaborate on the film with Director of Photography Luca Bigazzi, who is known for his work on critically acclaimed films, including the Academy Award winning, The Great Beauty.
BAC Films will handle international sales and distribute the film in France. CAA will co-represent the North American rights.

BAC Films International is currently wrapping up deals for Paolo Virzi’s film Like Crazy, premiering in Directors’ Fortnight this Saturday, the 14th of May.
Shooting was completed this summer in the USA.
